Statement of support for BIPOC & against white supremacy

Statement of support for BIPOC & against white supremacy

2020 has been a challenging year and especially so for people of color at the hands of police brutality. The Twin Cities Zine Fest goes beyond zines and self publishing. TCZF is a space to provide community within the Twin Cities community. In light of the murders of Breonna Taylor in Louisville, Ahmaud Arbery in Glynn County, George Floyd in Minneapolis, Rayshard Brooks in Atlanta, Jacob Blake in Kenosha, and many others, we feel responsible to speak out and act.

We stand in solidarity and support the efforts to end racism and white supremacy as well as support the families of those suffering from ruthless violence and murder from the hands of the police and the state.

Though we are a small event, the Twin Cities Zine Fest organizers strive to create a space that is anti-racist, accessible, and just. We will do our part to educate ourselves, and promote anti-racism. Make your voice heard, whether in the street, by talking to friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors and voting.

With love, the organizers of the 2020 Twin Cities Zine Fest
