TCZF kickoff reading

TCZF kickoff reading

We’re hosting a pre-fest kickoff reading next Friday Feb 6th! Nine zinesters will share their heartfelt, funny, sad, and/or horny stories—we’ll have the full range of human experience on display. 🎭 Come immerse yourself in emotions that aren’t terror or despair. 😬

Thank you to Odd Mart for hosting us! The address is 2520 Lyndale Ave S in Minneapolis. We’ll start getting set up at 5:30 pm, we’ll start the reading at 6:30 (sharp!), and wrap it up by 8-ish.

Due to safety concerns, we’re not sharing the names of zinesters on social media or our website in advance, but rest assured, it’s a terrific lineup!!!

We’re excited to share the poster art for the 2026 Twin Cities Zine Fest! This year’s artwork was created by Mergo Petrichor and features her delightful Bug Girl cozily reading a zine in a nest. Mergo is a new Twin City transplant who makes psychedelic comics about creatures and ennui. Find her on Instagram @LilithFaer.

Other Minnesota zine fests

Other Minnesota zine fests

We’ll be making announcements about TCZF 2022, but in the meantime we’ve been enjoying being back in community with zine folks! Autoptic, the indie comix fest, was held this past weekend, and with masks required it felt like a safe event. It was great to see people! Check out these two upcoming fests:

The 4th annual Insert Name Mini Fest is happening Saturday August 27th at the Landing Strip community garden (2614 20th Ave S). It’s free & outdoors! For more info, follow them on Instagram at @insertnameminifest.

Also consider checking out the very first Southern Minnesota Zine Fest, happening in Mankato on Saturday September 24th. Find more info at the Facebook event.
